About Caitlin Moran

Like her home city San Francisco, interior designer Caitlin Moran Lobosco balances a certain timeless grace with an unquestionably modern sensibility. Since establishing her design firm in 2004, she has applied her elegant and innovative style to a variety of projects, including residences in San Francisco, Marin County, New York, and Chicago, as well as an historic country house in Texas. Her commercial projects include the public spaces of a residential condominium project and the interiors of an office building. In a very short period of time, Moran has emerged as one of America's most talented young designers.

Caitlin spent her childhood in Dallas, graduated with a degree in Art History, and lived in Florence, Italy for a year to study fine arts. Having gained an appreciation of color and form, she was then employed by New York designer Vicente Wolf, and assisted in the implementation of many residential and commercial projects, including L'Impero Restaurant. Caitlin attributes her mastery of scale and texture to Mr. Wolf. He demanded exacting implementation, and Caitlin applies that lesson today in every project she undertakes.

In 2008, as a complement to her design firm Caitlin Moran Interiors, she formed a partnership with Tyler Dawson to open Found, a retail outlet for "rediscovered objects". Found satisfies the shopper who searches for one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture, or a very unique accessory. The charming store on San Francisco's Union Street also responds to the conscience of today's recycler, as antiques are always the "greenest" way to decorate.

Caitlin's work has been featured The San Francisco Chronicle, 7x7, San Francisco Magazine, and California Home and Design.//
